
I've spent the past 20+ years exploring many facets of the design industry.
Present: Working as a freelance designer and creative consultant.
2021 - 2024: Living in Dallas, Texas, working for Masood Textile Mill as the Lead for all U.S. graphic and surface design accounts. Teaching Apparel Manufacturing and Fashion Forecasting remotely at Belmont University.
2014 -2021: Living and working in Dallas, Texas. I was able to grow my career immensely while at JCPenney. I started as a Senior Textile Designer in the Women's division and earned several promotions, eventually becoming the Men's Textile Design Director. I also served in several leadership roles across the company, from chairing the Inclusion Council and Abilities Business Resource Teams to leading divisional opportunities for career development.
2008 - 2014: Happily living in Los Angeles, creating textiles for a long list of clients including, but not limited to, Nordstrom, Macy's, Target, JCPenney, Walmart, Tilly's, Kohl's, Justice, and Anne Cole.
2007 - 2008: Working for Target in Minneapolis, MN, as a Textile Designer for their Girl's division.
2002 - 2007: Discovering Nashville, TN, while making a living as an Assistant Professor teaching fashion illustration, portfolio development, and several fashion-related electives. I also worked as a Wardrobe Stylist and Apparel Designer for the following clients: Glamour, SELF, Tango, Redbook, In Style, CosmoGirl, CMT, NBA, Ashley Judd, Keith Urban, Niki Taylor, Eddie George, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, and Big&Rich.
2001-2002: After winning Target's CFDA competition and moving to Minneapolis, MN, I worked as an Assistant Designer for all divisions (Men's, Women's, and Kids.)
